New Construction Home
Cedartown Georgia
“No house should ever be on a hill or on anything. It should be of the hill. Belonging to it. Hill and House should live together each the happier for the other.” - Frank Lloyd Wright
The Wood family came to me with a unique opportunity when we had family land available for sale. They had been quite discerning about who would purchase the neighboring property, as it held sentimental value for them. The Woods had long cherished the idea of owning a piece of land near the JL Lester WMA, particularly because his son had harvested one of his largest deer just a few hundred yards from the site.
Together, we embarked on the journey of designing their dream home, focusing on creating a symmetrical structure. This approach can often be complex, as aligning various spaces may lead to increased costs and additional square footage. To bring their vision to life, we explored a wealth of inspiration, integrating elements from Pinterest boards, TikTok home walkthroughs, and various architectural plans.
The result of our collaborative efforts was a beautiful farmhouse-style residence spanning 2,420 square feet. This home includes nearly 600 square feet of welcoming porches, three spacious bedrooms, an office that can easily serve as an additional bedroom, and three well-appointed bathrooms. Once we completed the architectural design process, we were able to accurately re-evaluate the pricing, provide a comprehensive project timeline, and kick off the construction phase with enthusiasm.
