“As we evolve, our homes should too.” - Suzanne Tucker

Before

After

During my journey in designing a home for a member of the Lemon family, I was pleasantly reminded of how interconnected our world can be. Years ago, while managing an Amazon project in commercial construction, I had the opportunity to work with them as one of my subcontractors. Knowing their expertise in miscellaneous steel construction, I enlisted their help for a custom rail design on one of my residential projects. This collaboration laid the groundwork for our future partnership. After completing the residential build, the Lemon family approached me with an exciting proposal: they wanted to transform their own home through a remodel. What began as a simple facelift quickly evolved into a comprehensive design project. Their vision included zero-maintenance siding and distinct porches for both private relaxation and entertaining guests. To achieve this, we sourced limestone from Texas, which not only met their aesthetic desires but also saved them over $50,000 in siding costs. We designed a charming front porch that gracefully centered the home, while the rear area became an inviting entertainment hub. To create a seamless flow between indoors and outdoors, we incorporated tall windows and a large sliding door. A cozy fireplace and a stylish bar were added to the back porch, enhancing the space for gatherings. Recognizing the family’s passion for gardening, we thoughtfully integrated built-in planters into the remodel, creating a harmonious blend of nature and design. This project not only brought the Lemon family’s vision to life but also strengthened our connection in this small world of ours.
